WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY LIFE LIKE AS A CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER WITH US?

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with your team members, partners, consultants, and clients to meet project objectives;
  • Lead and support your team members to ensure their progress;
  • Coordinate the integration and training of project management department employees;
  • Manage large-scale projects;
  • Organize and lead various start-up, project monitoring, and closure meetings;
  • Ensure optimal workforce planning for construction sites, in collaboration with project managers;
  • Review project progress reports with project managers: control actual project costs, projections for costs to complete, and changes in margin based on cost progress versus physical progress;
  • Monitor project closures: obtain provisional and final acceptances within established deadlines;
  • Ensure that progress invoice statements are produced quickly and error-free by project managers;
  • Write and manage claims;
  • Participate in the direction of your department and the evolution of company strategies, in collaboration with the management committee;
  • Propose, develop, and implement action plans, policies, and procedures related to the sector under your responsibility;
  • Lead change and provide oversight the execution of new company initiatives;
  • Participate in service offerings and business development;
  • Ensure the best possible customer-focused service, delivering quality projects on time and within budget;
  • Collaborate with other departments and divisions by ensuring effective communication of respective needs and monitoring, in order to enable optimal execution of site work and generate the expected gross profitability;
  • Ensure excellent control of short-, medium-, and long-term operational results against the objectives established for the sectors under your responsibility;
  • Implement operational processes and procedures and maintain their application;
  • Support the Finance Manager and ensure accurate and appropriate forecasting and invoicing of services provided;
  • Promote a corporate culture focused on the values advocated by the organization;
  • Set performance objectives for your team and evaluate results.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a project manager in the construction industry, in the building envelope sector, a major asset;
  • Significant experience in commercial and institutional project management;
  • Experience in team management and coaching;
  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles and continuous improvement in the construction industry;
  • Construction or civil (building) engineer, degree in architecture, administration, or other combination of experience and relevant training;
  • In-depth knowledge of production management principles and continuous improvement in the construction industry;
  • Excellent ability to Oral and written communication skills;
  • Rigor, organizational skills, multitasking and autonomy;
  • Leadership, ability to get people to achieve their goals, unifying;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources based on priorities and deadlines;
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite, including Microsoft Project Management;
  • The successful candidate will be required to travel (Class 5 driver's license and car);
  • Bilingualism (English/French), written and spoken.
