Material management clerk (Temporary 1 year)

Listening to its customers for four generations, Laiterie Chalifoux's mission is to constantly innovate and create dairy trends, specializing in the processing of dairy products that it markets across Canada under the Riviera brand.

Under the responsibility of the materials and industrial indicators manager the incumbent of the position will have the main responsibility of supporting the achievement of his or her objectives, with the aim of supporting production.

Key Responsibilities

• Support processed operations when needed (yogurt, reception, cheese)
• Support the materials manager in data collection as well as in the production of loss reports by zone;
• Helps calculate operational inefficiencies in processes;
• Contributes with the materials manager to the optimal management of excess materials in the annual balance sheet (cream, proteins, skimmed products, etc.);
• Contributes to sampling and measurements to document and justify investments with a view to future savings;
• Contributes to rethinking working methods that increase efficiencies;
• Participates in training the process team in order to optimally standardize work techniques
• Participates and supports the capex team by reviewing investments taking into account operational constraints;
• May be required to replace, sporadically, process operators in their functions;
• Other related tasks.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the dairy industry as a cheese and ultra-fresh process operator;
• College diploma in food processing and/or any other combination of experience and training deemed equivalent;
• Very good skills in establishing interpersonal relationships;
• Judgement, integrity and honesty;
• Have a propensity for teamwork and enjoy working collaboratively with several stakeholders at the same time;
• Autonomous, creative, rigorous, with an eye for detail and a very good spirit of synthesis;
• Excellent command of the Excel tool and good command of the Office Suite.
