As Plant Manager, you will be the architect of our industrial performance. Your role? Transform our operations into a reference model through proactive management, strategic vision and a passion for operational excellence.
Your key responsibilities
Leadership & human commitment
- Inspire, mobilize and coach a team of supervisors and managers to achieve exceptional performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by stimulating interdepartmental collaboration.
- Ensure employee engagement and development by implementing training and mentoring initiatives.
- Ensure a healthy and safe work environment by establishing and maintaining high OHS standards.
Optimization & performance
- Supervise all production, maintenance and logistics operations to ensure optimal operation.
- Deploy Lean, Six Sigma and automation strategies to maximize efficiency and reduce losses.
- Analyze and optimize industrial performance indicators such as OEE, material losses, downtime and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with and implementation of standards and certifications (HACCP, SQF, CFIA, etc.), in collaboration with quality teams.
Strategic Vision & financial management
- Develop and manage operating and investment budgets (CAPEX), while ensuring optimal management of costs and resources.
- Manage production planning and scheduling to ensure strict compliance with deadlines and customer commitments.
- Ensure rigorous management of raw materials, packaging and stocks, in order to optimize costs and reduce losses.
- Develop continuous improvement plans in line with the company's strategic objectives.
Innovation & operational excellence
- Lead infrastructure expansion and improvement projects, including the addition of new production lines and process automation.
- Collaborate closely with the R&D and Quality teams to innovate and ensure the consistency and excellence of our products.
- Integrate advanced digital tools to improve operations monitoring and decision-making.
- Promote a sustainable approach by improving energy management and reducing the plant’s environmental footprint.
Ideal profile
- Degree in operations management, industrial engineering or related field
- +10 years of experience in agri-food production, ideally in the dairy industry
- Proven experience in change management, continuous improvement and piloting teamwork
- Proven leadership and ability to unite and inspire a fiery team
- Analytical mind, strategic sense and results orientation
- Mastery of digital tools and advanced production technologies
