Project manager - Engineer, building mechanics

WSP Canada is looking for a Project Manager - Mechanical Engineer for their offices in the Gatineau, Montreal or Quebec region. In a rich and dynamic work environment, in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, the engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:

What you can expect to do with us:

  • Carry out service offers with the support of the service offer department; carry out the analysis of calls for tenders, including risk analysis, evaluate the fees and compile the requirements to be met to ensure the conformity of the service offer at the time of submission, all under the supervision of the director of project.
  • Manage the projects under your responsibility: lead start-up meetings, determine and respect budgets, deadlines and the quality of deliverables;
  • Act as assistant project manager on major projects and support the project director in managing the technical team and monitoring external coordination. 
  • Manage the interdisciplinary coordination of your projects.
  • Manage projects, ensuring compliance with budgets, deadlines and the quality of deliverables, both technical and administrative; 
  • Carry out and/or participate in concept studies, in the design of plans and specifications for your projects;
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain good relationships with the various stakeholders;
  • Apply internal processes leading to excellent project management and customer experience.

What you will bring to WSP:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
  • Be a member in good standing and hold a license from the Order of Engineers of Quebec.
  • Have 5 years or more of relevant experience within a recognized engineering consulting company in Quebec and/or Canada.
  • Demonstrate team spirit, innovation and passion for your work and your team.
  • Have attention to detail and excellent critical analysis skills;
  • Ability to work in a team; 
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written;
  • Bilingualism in French and English considered an asset.
