Job Description

We are looking for an Electromechanic to join our dynamic team in a food production plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of our production equipment in order to maintain the continuity of our operations and comply with food safety standards. He or she will have to work closely with the production team members to resolve maintenance issues efficiently and proactively.

More specifically, here are the responsibilities of the position:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including processing machines, packaging lines, cooling systems, etc.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic failures and carry out necessary repairs within the required timeframes.
  • Monitor maintenance interventions in the appropriate database and write intervention reports.
  • Collaborate with the production team to plan production shutdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Identify potential equipment improvements and propose solutions to optimize their performance and reliability.
  • Comply with food safety standards and occupational health and safety regulations when performing maintenance tasks

Required qualifications:

  • Professional studies diploma (DEP) in electromechanics, industrial mechanics or a related field.
  • Prior experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the food sector (an asset).
  • Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics and automation.
  • Skills in troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
