Specific responsibilities
- Handle new business and renewals within the prescribed deadlines.
- Ensure customer retention.
- Conduct risk analysis, review coverage, and identify necessary changes or omissions from the last renewal.
- Prepare, review, and send various insurance documents (quotes, cover notes, invoices, certificates of insurance, endorsements, etc.).
- Prepare insurance proposals for the previous year and for the new year.
- Collect information to update clients.
- Collaborate with the producer to develop marketing strategies.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Negotiate renewal terms and changes (endorsements) with insurers.
- Collect accounts receivable in collaboration with the finance department.
- Follow up on recommendations made by insurers and inform the producer of any issues.
- Assist clients with claims and report them to the claims department or insurer.
- Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements
- Hold a valid broker’s license and a RIBO license;
- Have 1 to 3 years of experience in aviation or 5 to 8 years of experience in commercial insurance brokerage;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written, to regularly serve the Quebec and Western Canada markets;
- Excellent proficiency in the MS Office suite;
- Knowledge of the EPIC software is an asset;
- Must be based in Montreal or Western Canada;
- Availability for travel.
