Accounting technician

Copap is currently looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join its team. If you have solid accounting expertise, a good command of English, and are looking for a flexible and stimulating environment, this opportunity is for you.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank reconciliation of accounts payable
  • Manage the complete accounts payable cycle, including:
    • Processing, verifying, and entering supplier invoices
    • Preparing and issuing payments (checks, wire transfers, banking platforms)
    • Respond to supplier requests and ensure rigorous payment monitoring
  • Maintain General Ledger (GL) listings and produce required reports
  • Actively participate in the purposes of months: preparation of entries, reconciliations, analyses
  • Collaborate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes
  • Ensure the electronic filing and archiving of accounting documents

Required profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, including a specialization in accounts payable
  • Bilingual, with the ability to communicate 75% of the time in English
  • Proficiency in Sage software as well as a banking platform
  • Autonomy, rigor, attention to detail, and good priority management
  • Own a car (the position is based in Pointe-Claire)

  • Competitive salary between $60,000 and $65,000
  • 10% annual bonus based on performance
