Responsibilities
General Administration
- Manage internal and external communications (emails, calls, letters)
- Write, edit, and format various professional documents
- Coordinate calendars, schedule appointments, and organize meetings
- Support activities related to invoicing, filing, and document management
- Greet visitors with professionalism and courtesy
Accounting Duties (Accounting Technician)
- Enter accounting data into existing systems
- Manage accounts payable and Receivables
- Prepare bank reconciliations and support month-end processes
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns (GST/QST), and other government remittances
- Monitor internal accounting and tax deadlines
Human Resources
- Manage employee files (hiring, onboarding, evaluation, absences, etc.)
- Participate in workload planning and assignment allocation
- Coordinate the recruitment of support staff
- Maintain a healthy and collaborative work environment
Management Support
- Act as the partners' right-hand man in the day-to-day management of the firm
- Participate in continuous improvement and the drafting of internal procedures
- Prepare dashboards and performance indicators
- Contribute to strategic planning and certain operational decisions
Materials and Logistics Management
- Manage material procurement and supplier relations
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment and premises
Required profile
- Training in administration, office automation, or accounting
- Relevant experience in an administrative and/or technical accounting role
- Fluency in French (oral and written), basic English (an asset)
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office software; Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Quickbooks, Caseware) is an asset.
- Organizational skills, thoroughness, autonomy, and discretion.
- Team player and excellent communication skills.
Desired Experience
- Customer service: minimum 5 years.
- Administration or accounting in a financial firm or environment: minimum 5 years.
Position Details
- Schedule: 35 to 37.5 hours per week.
- Salary: $50,000 to $75,000 and up, depending on experience.
- Position Type: Permanent, full-time, long-term term
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (September to June), 4 days/week during July and August
- Location: 2224 Fleury Street East, Montreal, Quebec (hybrid mode – 50% remote)
- Paid Vacation: 4 weeks or more depending on experience
