A Quebec-based green energy manufacturing company is seeking a Financial Controller CPA to join its finance team.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will act as a key expert in accounting and finance in a hands-on role, combining analysis, guidance, and active participation in financial operations.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in monthly closings;
- Supervise and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses;
- Ensure the integrity of financial information and controls;
- Participate in treasury management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis variance analysis;
- Contribute to manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and cost variance analysis;
- Improve accounting and financial processes and collaborate with operational teams.
Desired Profile:
- CPA, with a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field;
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience, particularly as a controller or assistant controller;
- Significant experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Excellent command of the accounting cycle, Canadian Accounting Standards (CAS), cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, and cash management;
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with ERP systems and big data;
- Analytical mindset, autonomy, and rigor and a solutions-oriented approach.
