Tasks

  • Coordinate use of pulping, papermaking and papercoating process equipment
  • Operate and monitor pulping, papermaking and papercoating process equipment
  • Complete and maintain production reports
  • Control process operations and machinery
  • Direct other pulping, papermaking and finishing machine operators to make adjustments to pulp production, papermaking and coating process and equipment
  • Ensure pulp processes are operating within prescribed production limits
  • Make paper and coat paper products from pulp stock, mix chemicals and dyes
  • Observe instruments from central control room to detect equipment malfunctions
