Machinist

Job Description

  • Read and interpret technical drawings;
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances, measure and arrange the elements to be machined;
  • Set up, operate, and maintain various machine tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining work;
  • Prepare, adjust, and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies, primarily roll-forming and press dies;
  • Participate in projects to improve the factory's tooling, refurbish dies, modifications, repairs, etc.;
  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify that product dimensions are accurate and comply with specifications.

Design and Repair

  • Design various parts intended to operate or optimize equipment.
  • Repair parts, tools, and equipment according to your level of expertise.
  • Design various types of structures to improve storage, handling, or protection.
  • Perform various tests (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical)

Maintenance

  • Establish and ensure the implementation of a maintenance plan for tools and equipment.
  • Stay on top of operational issues with various equipment.
  • Ensure that equipment is replaced and the workstation is kept clean.
