Job Summary
We are looking for a Director of Sales and Business Development who is a structured field leader and coach at heart, capable of combining individual performance and team leadership (2 to 3 people). This person will play a key role in structuring our sales approach, developing major accounts, and implementing an efficient and replicable sales process.
As the team grows, the position will gradually evolve into a more strategic and management-oriented role.
Main Responsibilities
Business Development (Field and Strategic)
- Identify, qualify, and close new partnerships with major clients in all territories.
- Conduct targeted prospecting based on priority markets (sectors recommended following market research) in an assigned territory.
- Analyze customer needs and propose customized logistics solutions (consultative selling).
- Increase net revenue in the assigned territory.
- Participate in the development, Implementing and documenting a structured, duplicable, and measurable sales process.
Representative Team Management
- Coaching, supporting, and developing representatives to achieve their goals.
- Empowering and holding team members accountable
- Leading weekly sales meetings.
- Monitoring individual and team key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Regular coaching with observation, feedback, and action plans.
- Rigorous use of existing tools (CRM, playbook, cookbook).
Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
- Ensuring rigorous monitoring of client accounts and objectives.
- Providing regular performance analyses and proposing action plans corrective actions.
- Continuously improve processes, sales practices, and tracking tools.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, customer service, marketing) to maximize opportunities.
- Adopt a leader-coach stance: caring, demanding, motivating, and focused on talent development.
- Participate in the strategic planning of short- and medium-term sales efforts.
Required Profile
- Experience: 5 to 10 years in B2B business development, ideally in an SME or growing company.
- Key Skills:
- Team leadership and coaching Sales.
- Mastery of sales processes and consultative selling in a competitive market.
- Ability to structure and implement an effective sales process.
- Strategic analysis, prioritization, and rigorous management.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and adaptability to different profiles (DISC).
- Tools: Good knowledge of CRM, comfortable using tracking and planning tools.
- Strengths: Experience in the logistics or transportation sector, bilingualism, a learning and results-oriented profile.
- Expected Results: Growth in the company's B2B revenue, implementation of a sales process, development of new accounts in a specific territory.
