Our client, a well-established and evolving Quebec manufacturing company, is looking for a Financial Controller to play a key role within its management team.
This opportunity is aimed at someone who wants to go beyond traditional accounting operations and become a true business partner to management.
Your Role
Reporting directly to management, you will be responsible for all financial activities of the organization and will actively contribute to decisions that support its growth and performance.
You will take charge of your department with great autonomy and will have the opportunity to participate in several improvement projects aimed at optimizing processes, management tools, and the company's profitability.
Main Responsibilities
• Oversee all accounting and financial activities of the organization;
• Produce and analyze monthly and annual financial statements;
• Ensure month-end closings, reconciliations, and the quality of financial information;
• Participate in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and performance analyses;
• Monitor cash flow and support management in the financial management of the company;
• Develop and improve management indicators and decision-making tools;
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to optimize performance and profitability;
• Participate in the continuous improvement of financial and administrative processes;
• Supervise and engage the accounting team;
• Act as a business partner to management and various departments.
Desired Profile
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
• CPA designation (asset);
• Relevant experience in a financial control, management accounting, or financial analysis role;
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment;
• Good understanding of issues related to cost management and operational performance;
• Mobilizing leadership and excellent teamwork skills;
• Strong autonomy and sense of responsibility;
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems;
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly and accessibly.
