Join a rapidly growing Quebec company and contribute directly to the expansion of a franchise network. This new position places you at the heart of corporate files, commercial leases, and contracts, with real autonomy and a tangible impact on the efficiency of the legal team.

Responsibilities — Legal Deliverables and Direct Support for Expansion

  • Draft legal agreements and follow up on contracts and documents related to franchises and corporate matters.
  • Lead the management of commercial leases (drafting, negotiation, renewals, assignments) and prepare the required leasing documents.
  • Keep data and timelines updated in the lease management software and implement tracking tools to secure key dates.
  • Support business transactions by preparing, reviewing, and coordinating documentation while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Conduct research in public registers and produce associated documentation (including the preparation and publication of lease notices).
  • Draft corporate resolutions, manage archiving, and structure legal documentation for a developing internal function.
  • Coordinate administrative exchanges with external firms and collaborate with other departments to streamline information flow.

Profile Sought — Essentials for Quick Success in This Role

  • Hold a diploma in legal techniques or equivalent training.
  • Demonstrate work experience in Canada.
  • Master legal drafting and contract analysis, including the ability to review and negotiate documents.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the laws governing franchises, commercial leases, and contracts (trademarks ideally).
  • Communicate excellently in French and have a good level of oral and written English, particularly for drafting and reviewing contracts related to franchises outside Quebec.
  • Exhibit rigor, attention to detail, and discretion in managing sensitive files.
  • Work with autonomy, initiative, and good judgment while maintaining a team spirit in a young and collaborative environment.

Conditions — Compensation, Schedule, and Benefits

  • Annual salary between $60,000 and $85,000.
  • 40 hours per week, flexible schedule

  • Have relevant exposure to one of the following contexts: franchising, restaurant, commercial real estate, or corporate law.
