A private organization of about 120 employees, growing and marked by recent acquisitions, is looking for a VP Finance to strengthen the strategic dimension of the function. You will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer and a stable accounting team, dealing with concrete issues of international finance, currencies, and risk management. Opportunity to have a visible impact on the structure, decisions, and financial maturity of the company.
Responsibilities — strategic financial leadership and transformation of the function
- Provide strategic leadership for the finance function and align financial priorities with business objectives.
- Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to add strategic depth and support decision-making.
- Structure and optimize financial processes and practices to support a growth and consolidation context.
- Manage international financial flows and exposure to foreign currencies (e.g., USD, COP, or others).
- Deploy hedging strategies and financial risk management to reduce exposure and impacts.
- Analyze and prevent potential losses related to FX by implementing proactive risk assessments.
- Contribute to acquisition, consolidation initiatives, and post-acquisition financial integration.
Profile sought — essential requirements and leadership posture
- Proven previous experience as VP Finance or in an equivalent strategic role (established profile).
- Essential experience in international financial management, including oversight of currency and FX issues.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial risk management and hedging strategies.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken (predominantly English-speaking clientele).
- Comfortable with ERP systems, including a tailored in-house system.
- Demonstration of strategic leadership capable of elevating the finance function and influencing the organization.
- Judgment, rigor, and ability to structure and improve without unnecessarily complicating processes.
