POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN – RECRUITMENT
DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES AND PAYROLL
SALARY: FROM $24.21 TO $32.32 AN HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.
FUNCTION & DUTIES:
Under the supervision of the HR Assistant Director, the Administrative Technician mostly performs administrative tasks related to recruitment for the entire Board, including:
- Prepare and release job postings internally and externally in collaboration with the HR Coordinators;
- Provide support to local administrators in the job posting process;
- Receive and sort CVs based on job titles and analyze them according to established criteria;
- Invite candidates for interviews;
- Coordinate interviews (pre-employment test, interview questionnaire, CV copy, salary scale, function description, as well as room reservation);
- Conduct pre-interview screening;
- Organize examination and testing sessions;
- Proceed with the verification of references;
- Prepare and send letters and documents to new hires.
- Open files for new employees and collect all necessary documentation;
- Update the HR lists for new hires;
- Verify academic and professional qualifications of candidates;
- Prepare, organize and plan events related to hiring in collaboration with coordinators.
- Compile data and produce reports regarding the overall staffing management (vacant positions, postings, number of CVs received, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:
College studies diploma in administrative techniques with a human resources option, or a diploma or certificate of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and two (2) years of experience in administrative support or human resources.
The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualification requirements if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluency in two (2) of the three (3) official languages of KI (Inuktitut, English and French);
- Knowledge and very good command of Word and Excel in a self-reliant way;
- General knowledge of recruitment (basic principles, use of social networks, etc)
- Be proactive in searching for potential candidate;
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet short deadlines.
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4211: from $24.21 to $32.32 an hour depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
