JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director, Information Technologies and Telecommunications, the incumbent mainly maintains and develops applications using the Oracle database as well as Forms / Reports tools. He thus assumes the following main responsibilities:

  • Meet users to define needs;
  • Carry out preliminary and functional analysis based on identified needs;
  • Carry out the technical implementation (production plan, programming, tests, implementation, etc.);
  • Integrate the applications developed with the system already in place if necessary;
  • Document the systems developed;
  • Prepare and provide training to users on the applications that it puts into production;
  • Ensure the maintenance of existing programs;
  • Convert Forms applications to Apex if necessary;
  • Support users;
  • Perform any other related task.

Note that the analysis proportion is around 35% and the programming proportion is around 65%. However, these percentages could change depending on the needs of the organization.

PROFILE WANTED

Requirements:

  • DEC in computer science or information technology or equivalent;
  • Minimum experience of 2 years with Oracle Forms and Reports tools;
  • Good writing skills;
  • Good understanding of written English (intermediate level);
  • Ability to manage priorities;
  • Good analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Logical and practical sense of organization;
  • Flexibility and availability;
  • Rigour;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Due to the nature of all access granted to the holder, this position requires an absolute level of confidentiality.

Assets:

  • Experience with Apex tools;
  • Knowledge of the basic notions of a DBA as well as Microsoft development tools (PL/SQL, .NET, Power tools suite (Apps, Automate and BI), etc.).

A combination of education and/or relevant experience may be deemed equivalent.
