The challenges that await you

You will perform various technical and analytical tasks related to soil quality to support municipal operations.

You will assess, monitor, and protect soil quality within the City’s territory. You will conduct required analyses, support municipal projects, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to the characterization efforts of contaminated sites.

You will review studies related to soil quality, provide comments and recommendations, and ensure that documents are complete and meet the objectives for which they were requested.

You will maintain various data and information related to soil quality, contamination notices, and geomatics data.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in engineering, geology, chemistry, or any other relevant field;
  • Have 30 months of relevant experience in environmental assessment:
      • In conducting Phase I studies;
      • Characterization of soils and groundwater;
      • Participation in environmental monitoring and rehabilitation projects.
  • Experience in writing technical notes, inspection reports, or other documents related to their area of expertise;
  • Knowledge of regulations such as the MELCCFP Land Characterization Guide (2024) and the MELCCFP Sampling Guide (CEAEQ);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
    • Hold a valid class 5 driver's license.
