SALARY:   

  • Class 5 – $86,895.87 to $108,620.52 / year
  • Winter availability bonus and occasionally during summer (continues to be paid even if called to work);
  • Evening, night, and weekend bonus;
  • Overtime: paid at regular rate.

 

SCHEDULE:  36.00 hours per week, Day, night, or weekend shifts

WORK MODE:   On-site

 

The challenges that await you

As a public works supervisor, you organize, control, and supervise operations related to:

 

  • roadways;
  • sewer and aqueduct networks;
  • snow removal;
  • spreading;
  • asphalting;
  • horticulture;
  • maintenance and installation of playground equipment.

 

This is to ensure optimal use of the resources at your disposal, effectively maintain the geographical area assigned to you, and ensure proper handling of citizen requests.

 

Additionally, you assist your superior in managing the activities under their responsibility and oversee the resources, including the personnel, for which you are responsible according to the allocated budget and the orientations, objectives, directives, and instructions of your superior and the service management. Finally, you produce reports on the management of the resources assigned to you and the activities for which you are responsible in order to submit relevant recommendations.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering or a college certificate (AEC) in urban infrastructure foremanship or team supervision;
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience, including personnel management;
  • Experience in managing unionized personnel, an asset;
  • Must possess training in safety for construction sites (SST);
  • Class 5 driver's license.
