For its Public Works Service, the City of Laval is looking for a: Mechanic for Vehicles and Equipment
STATUS: Permanent

SALARY: Class 10 – from $28.72 to $35.91 plus several bonuses (night, retention, etc.).
SCHEDULE: Evening (weekdays): Monday to Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM
WORK LOCATION: G.V.E Operations, Public Works, 1499 CUNARD STREET Laval H7S 2H8 (see map below)
The challenges that await you
Perform various mechanical repair work on all types of motorized vehicles, equipment, and devices.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or automotive mechanics (with relevant experience on heavy vehicles), recognized by the Ministry of Education of Quebec);
- Possess a PEP card (Preventive Maintenance Program) issued by the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec);
- Hold an environmental qualification certificate, category H3 - vehicles;
- Aptitude to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs on all types of motorized equipment;
- Hold a class 5 driver's license that meets the requirements of the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec;
- Have two (2) years of relevant experience.

Must pass a practical exam and a selection interview
