Building Mechanical Engineer

Under the authority of your immediate supervisor, you will perform and coordinate studies and analyses of projects related to ventilation, heating, plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration of the City’s buildings. Additionally, for certain works, you will be responsible for sealing plans and specifications in accordance with the provisions, laws, and regulations of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

You will collaborate in the implementation and execution of works carried out by contract, in management and in-house. To this end, you will coordinate and ensure the technical and administrative link between the project owner and the Service management. You will provide applicants with all relevant information regarding your area of expertise.

• Education acquired through a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
• Have six (6) years of relevant experience in the role;
• Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• In all phases of project development and works: determining needs, establishing the scope of work, performing estimates and schedules, providing comments related to mechanical design, coordinating with various stakeholders, monitoring and inspecting work during execution, training and transferring knowledge to the operator;
• In energy conservation and energy efficiency;
• In technical advice and follow-ups;
• Possessing a PMP certificate is an asset;
• Holding a valid class 5 driver's license and having a car;
• Holding an ASP card.
