SALARY: Class 6 – from $51,173 to $78,728 / year - We recognize years of experience directly related to the position for salary positioning.

SCHEDULE: 33.75 hours per week, rotating

You receive and process urgent calls from the public in a way that ensures appropriate interventions are made to ensure the safety of the population of the third largest city in Quebec. You operate a computer system to receive and transmit various messages. You route information, messages, and directives to the relevant Service units or organizations.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a high school diploma (DES) or a college studies certificate (AEC) as a Dispatcher in an emergency call center (asset);
  • Have two (2) years of experience in a communications center (9-1-1, airport, alarm company, etc.), a call center, or in another relevant field;
  • Be available to work rotating shifts during the day, evening, and night, on weekends, throughout the year;
  • Have no criminal record related to the job;
  • Very good command of French and English (written and spoken);
  • Proficiency with computer tools and data entry.

The selection process includes various steps such as:

  • A psychometric assessment;
  • An online practical exercise;
  • Oral English test;
  • An interview;
  • Pre-employment checks including a security clearance.
