Vehicle Layout Technical Assistant

SCHEDULE: 33.00 hours per week, Day, Monday to Thursday, 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM

WORK LOCATION: Police vehicle fleet, 3370 Boul. Industriel, Laval

The challenges that await you

For its vehicle fleet, within the Police Service, you will perform various tasks related to the layout of vehicles for police use, to assist in assembly and disassembly, following established procedures.

More specifically, you will:

  • Dismantle vehicles according to established procedures: removing components from communication systems, emergency systems, as well as various types of vehicle equipment;
  • Manufacture pre-production parts for vehicle assembly;
  • Participate in the inventory of emergency communication equipment and components, as well as any other specialized equipment for police use by performing parts withdrawals from the sub-inventory for vehicle assembly;
  • Perform preventive maintenance on fixed production machines;
  • Inspect equipment and ensure compliance with specifications and parameters;
  • Catalog the equipment required to perform tasks as well as the parts used for execution;
  • Participate in the development of recommendations to improve work methods and equipment usage.
The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in electronics, electromechanics, automotive electricity, or any other related field;
  • Have 3 months of relevant experience;
  • Experience in layout, installation, repair, and maintenance of specialized emergency equipment for various types of emergency vehicles will be considered an asset;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 4A is an asset).
