SCHEDULE: 33.00 hours per week, DAY; TUESDAY to FRIDAY - 08:15 to 17:30 - B

WORK LOCATION: Building Administration, parks and public spaces, 2550 INDUSTRIAL BLVD Laval H7S 2G7

The challenges that await you

You will perform various technical tasks involving research and surveys necessary for the design and execution of development, maintenance, construction, modification, or renovation work in municipal buildings or on municipal land. You will design reports, development proposals, construction plans, cost estimates, and construction or maintenance quotes, and supervise ongoing work while ensuring coordination among stakeholders and adherence to established budgets. You will participate in the development and execution of projects in collaboration with consulting firms or internal professionals.

And more specifically:

  • Inspect buildings and land to identify renovation and/or modification opportunities and assess their compliance with construction standards and codes, as well as write inspection reports
  • Plan and coordinate with various Services and utility companies the work for the realization of projects or tasks
  • Represent the City before consultants, contractors, and suppliers for project execution.
  • Communicate, as needed, with representatives from other divisions, City Services, and/or representatives from external organizations to obtain or exchange various information related to their work.
  • Write various reports and correspondence related to their activities
The ideal profile for us
  • College diploma (DEC) in building mechanics;
  • Have three (3) years of relevant experience in the role, as described in the summary above;
  • Hold a valid construction site health and safety card (ASP);
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver's license and a vehicle.
