The challenges that await you

Under the authority of the clerk – municipal court, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the completion of legal and administrative procedures on behalf of the clerk. Additionally, you will record in the minutes the phases of the procedure including the decisions and orders of the judges.

More specifically, you:

  • Check court files before hearings to ensure they contain the necessary elements (documents, minutes, signatures, notices, etc.);

  • Ensure follow-up on files scheduled for hearing and perform all required tasks for the proper management of files in the courtroom;

  • Attend hearings and proceed with the arraignment of defendants according to the stage and type of procedure (appearance, highway safety code, criminal code, etc.);

  • Draft the minutes of court hearings recording the attendance, type of charge, pleas and motions submitted by the prosecution and defense lawyers as well as all stages of the case proceedings.
The ideal profile for us
  • Education acquired through a college diploma (DEC) in legal techniques;
  • Have two (2) years of work experience in the judicial field, specifically at the level of hearings before the court regarding criminal and civil procedures.
