For its Water Management Service, the City of Laval is looking for a:  Drinking Water and Wastewater Operator - Temporary

 

STATUS: Temporary

SALARY:   Class 9 – from 28.11$ to 35.14$

SCHEDULE:   DAY; MONDAY to THURSDAY - 07:00 to 16:30

WORK LOCATION:   LaPinière Water Treatment Plant, 1133 MONTÉE MASSON Laval H7E 4P2  (see map below)

 

The challenges that await you

You will be responsible for performing various tasks involving the management, operation, maintenance, and optimization of drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) or a college vocational studies certificate (AEC) in water treatment or a vocational studies diploma (DEP) in water treatment process operation;
  • Possess a valid qualification certificate as per section 44 of the Drinking Water Quality Regulation and/or as per section 10 of the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Works Regulation;
  • Hold a class 5 driver's license in accordance with the requirements of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec.
Selection mechanism

Must comply with a medical examination to meet the laws and current health and safety standards regarding entry into confined spaces.
