For its Water Management Service, the City of Laval is looking for a:  Water Treatment Operator - Wastewater

 

STATUS: Temporary

JOB POSTING NUMBER:   941

SALARY:   Class 9 – from 28.11$ to 35.14$

SCHEDULE:   DAY; MONDAY to THURSDAY - 07:00 to 16:30

WORK LOCATION:   LaPinière Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1133 MONTÉE MASSON Laval H7E 4P2  (see map below)

 

The challenges that await you

You will be responsible for performing various tasks involving the management, operation, maintenance, and optimization of drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) or a college vocational studies certificate (AEC) in water treatment or a vocational studies diploma (DEP) in water treatment process operation;
  • Possess a valid qualification certificate as per Article 44 of the Drinking Water Quality Regulation and/or as per Article 10 of the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Works Regulation;
  • Hold a class 5 driver's license that meets the requirements of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec.
Selection mechanism

Must comply with a medical examination to meet the laws and current health and safety standards regarding entry into confined spaces.
