A guaranteed income this winter, are you interested?

One thing is certain: it will snow this year… and we have about a hundred positions to fill!

At the City of Laval, one of our missions is to maintain the territory: snow removal, maintenance of roadways and public places. A great challenge when you think that Laval is the 3rd largest city in Quebec, with over 4,300 km of network to cover. Day and night, our team works hard to ensure that Lavallois and Lavalloises start their day on the right foot

Do you want to move, work physically, and enjoy the outdoors? Do you like variety and are you a person of action? This position is for you!

We are looking to expand our team with Laborers (Public Works Workers) (yes, we call it both ways, it's up to you!)

Forget the routine! With us, every shift is different: one day you participate in snow removal operations (with big machines!), the next you take care of manual maintenance work. Time will fly by, we promise!

Want to join the team? Here’s what you need (the requirements):
  • Good physical condition and ability to perform various manual tasks. (A medical questionnaire is part of the selection process.)
  • High school diploma (DES) or equivalent recognized by MIFI. (Training must be completed and will be verified before hiring.)
  • No criminal record related to the job. (A background check will be conducted before hiring.)
  • ASP Construction card (SST) or commitment to obtain it before starting work.
  • Valid driver's license – required: class 5 / asset: classes 1, 2, or 3. (A driving record check will be conducted.)
  • Have legal status to work in Canada.
Work schedule:
  • 36 hours/week spread over 4 days (Monday to Thursday) or over 3 days (Friday to Sunday).
  • Night, weekend, and some daytime schedule possibilities
  • Guaranteed income: 36 hours per week guaranteed, average contract of 17 weeks!
  • Great perspective: possibility to return next year, to work year-round, and even to build a career at the City of Laval!
