Compensation Advisor

SCHEDULE: 33.45 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 08:30 to 16:30

WORK LOCATION: 1200 Boulevard Chomedey, 3rd floor, Laval.
Reporting to the Compensation Manager, you will collaborate in the development, application, and administration of compensation programs and policies for various groups of unionized and non-unionized employees. Additionally, you will inform, advise, and support managers on any issues related to compensation, the definition, and management of administrative and operational structures.
You will sit on joint job evaluation committees for different unionized groups. You will describe and evaluate functions, conduct surveys and grievance analyses, recommend settlements, and argue cases with union representatives, according to the chosen guidelines. Furthermore, you will ensure follow-up and participate in various programs to maintain pay equity.
As a compensation advisor, you will administer salaries and other benefits: you will calculate salaries for personnel movements, oversee annual salary indexing for all employee groups, and monitor individual step progressions.
You will participate in compensation surveys, analyze data, formulate recommendations, and produce various management reports related to salaries and overall compensation.
You will ensure ongoing governance of compensation tools and recommend opportunities for optimization and improvement of our processes.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in industrial relations, HR management, or equivalent;
- Five (5) years of relevant experience, primarily in the administration and application of various compensation programs and policies, salary structures, pay equity, restructuring, and compensation surveys;
- Possess excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
- Membership in the Order of Certified Human Resources Advisors (CRHA) is an asset;
- Knowledge and comfort with HR information systems (Oracle-ERP, an asset).
