Under the authority of your immediate supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the commissioning process of new projects in accordance with the agreements established with various stakeholders and the applicable technical requirements. In this capacity, you will plan the commissioning activities and ensure the consolidation and transfer of project-related documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, to the team responsible for building operations.
You will need to validate the performance testing plans as well as the commissioning sequence from the contractor. You will be required to compile a final commissioning report that summarizes the project documentation and follow up with the contractor to address any deficiencies in the activities under your supervision.
More specifically, you will need to:
- Analyze and define the needs and procedures required by various stakeholders to carry out the final commissioning of the project;
- Validate the functional performance testing plans as well as the commissioning sequence submitted by the contractor and subcontractors and submit recommendations to your supervisor;
- Participate in the preparation of the commissioning schedule as well as the drafting and transfer of the final report to the operations team and the project sponsor.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electromechanical systems engineering or any other relevant training;
- Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, an asset;
- Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning or starting up building mechanical equipment.
