For its Public Works Department, the City of Laval is looking for a: Mechanic for Vehicles and Equipment
STATUS: Temporary

SALARY: Class 10 – $38.63
SCHEDULE: EVENING
WORK LOCATION: G.V.E Operations, Public Works, 1499 CUNARD STREET DOOR 29 LAVAL H7S 2H8 (see map below)
Perform various mechanical repair work on all types of motorized vehicles, equipment, and devices.
- Hold a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or automotive mechanics (with relevant experience on heavy vehicles), recognized by the Ministry of Education of Quebec);
- Hold a PEP card (Preventive Maintenance Program) issued by the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec);
- Possess an environmental qualification certificate, category H3 - vehicles;
- Aptitude to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and to perform repairs on all types of motorized equipment;
- Possess a class 5 driver's license in accordance with the requirements of the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec;
- Have two (2) years of relevant experience.
Must pass a practical exam
