Building Mechanical Engineer

You perform and coordinate studies and analyses of projects related to ventilation, heating, plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration of the City’s buildings. Additionally, for certain works, you are responsible for sealing plans and specifications in accordance with the provisions, laws, and regulations of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

You collaborate in the implementation and execution of works carried out by contract, in management, and in administration. To this end, you coordinate and ensure the technical and administrative link between the project owner and the Service management. You provide applicants with all relevant information regarding your area of expertise.

• Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
• Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
• Have six (6) years of relevant experience in the role, particularly:

• • In all phases of project development and works: determining needs, establishing the scope of work, performing estimates and schedules, issuing comments related to mechanical design, coordinating with various stakeholders, monitoring and inspecting work during execution, training and transferring knowledge to the operator;
  • In energy conservation and energy efficiency;
  • In the construction of eco-responsible LEED buildings, integrated design, and energy-saving systems;
  • In technical advice and follow-ups.

• Possess a PMP certificate, an asset;
• Have training on safety for construction sites (SST);
• Have a valid driver's license and have access to a car.
