Unique in North America, the Festival's mission is to make the Lanaudière region the Canadian hub for classical music by contributing to individual and collective enrichment through music. The Festival offers bold and accessible events featuring internationally renowned artists from here and abroad.

Job Description

The Festival is accepting applications for a Board of Directors position.

The candidate must be able to contribute to the strategic decision-making and governance of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in board meetings and relevant committees (audit committee)
  • Contribute to the strategic decision-making and governance of the organization.
  • Monitor the organization's finances and ensure that resources are used efficiently.
  • Ensure the organization complies with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization and promote its objectives and mission.

Requirements

  • Experience working with non-profit organizations
  • Prior experience in a similar role of administrator

Assets: residency in the greater Lanaudière region, understanding of the cultural sector.

Details related to the position

  • Implications (number of meetings, committees, etc.): The board meets for 2 hours quarterly, in a hybrid format.
  • Compensation: Volunteer.
