Accounting Clerk

Main Responsibilities

  • Record, track, and pay supplier invoices
  • Prepare, send, and follow up on customer invoices
  • Prepare monthly statements of account
  • Track employee hours (worked, sick leave, accrued time, vacation, etc.)
  • Prepare employee payroll
  • Manage the group RRSP program
  • Manage the group insurance program
  • Manage grants and subsidies
  • Prepare government remittances (A/P, payroll deductions, GST/HST/QST, etc.)
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end file preparation
  • Prepare, monitor, and report on budgets and cash flow
  • Prepare and update various weekly and monthly reports
  • Implement and monitor certain key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform any other related administrative tasks

Education and Experience

  • College-level education in administration or accounting
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the accounting module of the JobBOSS ERP system would be a major asset
  • Bilingual

Additional Information

  • Part-time daytime position, 8 to 16 hours per week (to be discussed)
