Boom Truck Operator – Fly-in/Fly-out Rotation in Nunavut and Nunavik

Schedule: 35 to 42 days on site followed by 10 days off at home

JOB DESCRIPTION

The boom truck operator will be required to operate without direct line of sight. All communications will be conducted via radio. The primary operations will involve hoisting insulated metal panels (sandwich panels) onto roofing structures for installation and lowering demolition debris from the work area.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • A rotating fly-in/fly-out position
  • 70-hour work week, 10-hour shifts
  • Accommodation, airfare, and meals provided by the employer

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a boom truck operator
  • Clean criminal record (specific requirement for this contract)
  • Class 3 driver's license (a major asset)
  • Driver's License Class 1 (asset)

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time an offer of employment is made.
