The company is currently looking for its new production supervisor to strengthen its production team. The work schedule is Monday to Friday during the day.

Job description
Under the supervision of General Management, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all activities of production under his charge. He/she ensures a presence on the production floor, analyzes problems and implements appropriate solutions. He/she ensures that production objectives are achieved. He/she motivates team members and encourages a positive attitude throughout shifts.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting all daily production activities and ensuring that the team production works in compliance with safety, quality and productivity policies, programs and standards.


Your responsibilities:</ span>

  • Ensures constant supervision of daily production activities on the floor, and equipment.
  • Executes production plans and takes initiatives to correct performance gaps or difficulties encountered during the shift.
  • Actively manages employees under his responsibility (attendance, discipline, schedules, vacations, performance, etc.)
  • Plans and organizes the work of members of the production team according to production needs and emergencies (prepares production plans and orders).
  • Ensures the proper integration and training of new employees, in conjunction with team leaders.
  • Promotes a work climate based on mutual assistance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures consistency between inventory and use of raw materials and packaging on the floor. Maintains the various registers and production forms
  • Ensures the integrity of information reported in the production system and corrects errors.
  • Ensures compliance monitoring of manufacturing and packaging standards.
  • Works closely with the quality assurance team to apply and maintain H.A.C.C.P. standards
  • Identifies areas for continuous improvement with the aim of profitability and productivity.
  • Participates in the implementation and monitoring of performance indicators and documents discrepancies when required.
  • Acts proactively on health and safety issues and participates in the implementation of the OHS action plan.
  • Performs any other related tasks.

Specific skills

  • College or university diploma in a related field or any combination of experience deemed relevant
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a food production and processing environment.
  • Knowledge of health standards (H.A.C.C.P., RSAC, etc.), an asset
  • Strong interest in working on the production floor
  • Skillful communicator and ability to popularize knowledge transfer.
  • Proficiency in French + basic English
  • Visible and participatory leader
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Priority management and excellent sense of urgency
  • Good self-control under pressure
  • Ability to adapt, resourceful, proactive
  • Autonomy and problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills
