A firm of experts in Building Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, with offices in the West Island of Montreal and in Saint-Sauveur, is looking for an additional person to support them in the numerous projects of their multi-sector business partners. Focused on the success of their client, the team is looking for an experienced Mechanical Director to support them in their strategic growth.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with your colleagues to carry out various complex commercial, residential, institutional, municipal and light industrial projects.
- Actively participate in the design and development of plans and specifications for ventilation, plumbing and automated control systems.
- Be the resource person for building mechanics.
- Take charge of the mechanical aspect of all projects.
- Ensure the development and growth of the mechanical department.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of the members (technicians and designers) of the project.
- Supervise the resources under his responsibility, provide coaching, evaluate their contribution and ensure their professional progression in the company.
- Manage the building mechanics team on a daily basis and give them the necessary guidance to achieve the time, quality and deadline objectives in projects and mandates.
- Carry out studies, engineering calculations, contact with clients, field surveys and budget evaluations in building mechanics.
- Be a proud ambassador for establishing and maintaining the norms and standards of the profession and the company.
- Sometimes, for the proper development of projects, take part in any other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Quebec.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting engineering.
- Have in-depth knowledge of CVAV ventilation, plumbing, automated control and natural gas
- Know the codes and standards governing building mechanics in Quebec.
- Know the commercial, residential, institutional, municipal and light industrial environments.
- Proficiency in French and English.
- Have an interest in entrepreneurship.
