Company Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, for our client located near Malartic, Quebec, with a 4/3 day schedule (Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday).

Job Description

Reporting to the General Superintendent, your mission will be to coordinate the execution of all maintenance work in order to optimize or modernize the plant's equipment, with the aim of improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, supervise and direct the work of the maintenance team (5-10 industrial mechanics), as well as subcontractors and contract personnel.
  • Organize and supervise work during scheduled shutdowns for various types of equipment (preventive and predictive maintenance).
  • Develop and improve maintenance system techniques to optimize
  • Apply and promote the company's values in terms of health, safety and the environment, in compliance with current policies, laws and regulations.
  • Manage in a context of continuous improvement and actively participate in the problem-solving process.
  • Improve preventive maintenance processes and the management of maintenance contracts.
  • Promote the participation of staff under your supervision and create a work atmosphere conducive to achieving the department's objectives.
  • the effectiveness of interventions, in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Analyze and identify the causes of problems, implementing corrective measures to avoid their recurrence.
  • Ensure the training and continuous development of the maintenance team.
  • Manage allocated budgets to control plant costs.
  • Initiate and actively collaborate in department activities and meetings.

Required skills and qualifications :

  • DEC or BACC in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance
  • Recognized experience in supervising technical personnel
  • Have projects aimed at reducing costs and continuous improvement
  • Fluency in French, English is an asset
  • Achievements and commitment to health and safety at work
  • Know the Microsoft office suite and be comfortable with computer tools
