We are currently looking for a Maintenance and Reliability Manager at our client located near Montebello, QC.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for a team of two people.
  • You will have to increase the reliability and uptime of the machines to increase the overall efficiency rate of the plant.
  • You will ensure a safe work environment that complies with current laws, standards and regulations.
  • You will play the role of facilitator and ensure to the implementation of continuous improvement projects.

Main tasks

  • Analyze the criticality of equipment and set up predictive and preventive maintenance programs to improve availability.
  • Establish work procedures for each piece of equipment and its components.
  • Define the spare parts and inventory levels required to support operations.
  • Provide support and coaching during the implementation and deployment of reliability changes, the redesign of preventive and predictive maintenance programs, as well as for the improvement of work practices and procedures.
  • Propose and lead general shutdowns as well as continuous improvement projects across the entire process, and measure their profitability.
  • Actively participate in problem solving and the search for solutions.
  • Plan and organize general shutdowns and actively participate in the completion of the work.
  • Ensure the application and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Required profile

  • College diploma in mechanical engineering with more than 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Mastery and application of the concepts of preventive, predictive and equipment reliability maintenance as well as continuous improvement.
  • Solid knowledge of electromechanics and other systems and equipment present in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to exert a positive influence within a factory team.
     

Required qualities and skills

  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems diligently, and put in place mechanisms to ensure the sustainability of changes.
  • Change agent capable of facilitating work with a sense of organization to ensure the planning, organization, monitoring and control of activities and projects.
  • Active participation in the completion of activities and work.
  • Tolerance to a high level of activity and ability to prioritize.
  • Dynamism, leadership and sense of initiative.
