Job Description
In order to support the sustained growth of our client, we are currently looking for a Building Designer Specialist for the Quebec office. You will join a team of engineers and designers specializing in building, architecture and mechanics and you will be required to communicate frequently with the designers and project managers of their teams.
- Prepare the overall project drawing for client approval
- Prepare Manufacturing Drawings from Solidworks </li >
- Configure templates to create drawings
- Work as a team to complete large drawing projects
- Generate laser cut files
- Create drawings and sketches for fabrication and installation
- Actively participate in the design of the different sections of the project (building mechanics, HVAC)
- Prepare material vouchers (material vouchers) for the purchasing department.
Qualifications
- DEP in industrial design, building or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar field position
- Software proficiency Solidworks
- Experience with AutoCAD software is an asset
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
- Good reading and writing skills in English (asset)
- Knowledge and experience with sheet metal (asset)
