Your role:
As part of the Track System Product Development team, the selected person will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and mechanical designers in the improvement of rubber track systems for various applications, mainly agricultural. She will be responsible for coordinating the engineering activities of her team in the execution of various projects and mandates.
We need you for:
- Lead a design group to improve the track system (local and international team);
- Prioritize and direct the work of his team, keeping in mind the required deadlines, the pace of performance and budgets, while following the product development process (PPD) and engineering standards;
- Validate concepts and requirements to ensure they meet performance and cost;
- Support the team in load and structure calculations and lead design reviews (internal and with the client);
- Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers and guide engineering exchanges with customers and the product line manager;
- Identify potential for improvement or new products in order to remain innovative in the off-road market;
- Ensure the execution of the engineering change request process (ECR / ECN) for the products under his responsibility;
- Ensure the development of the members of his team in the different aspects of their work.
What do you need to possess for being successful:
- You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
- You have more than 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical or structural engineering and in product development, from ideation to commissioning;
- You have appropriate experience in the field of systems engineering on heavy equipment, an asset;
- You are a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
- You master the different engineering processes (PDP, ECN);
- You are fluent in English and French (written and spoken);
- You are motivated, you take initiatives and you are dynamic;
- You have the ability to solve problems using a structured methodology;
- You know how to carry out different projects simultaneously, manage pressure and several priorities with autonomy and initiative;
- You have effective communication skills with peers, management, employees, customers and suppliers;
- You are available to travel internationally approximately 10% of the time.
