Firefighter

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Tasks

  • Maintain firefighting equipment
  • Provide fire prevention education programs
  • Inspect existing buildings for structural defects and fire hazards
  • Enforce environmental, fire safety and accident prevention regulation

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

  • Firefighter Certificate Level I and II
