Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

This Hybrid position is available at several locations in Western Canada: Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Vancouver.

 

Our Western Region subsidiary has the following full-time permanent position opening:  Mechanical Engineer – Western Canada

 

Responsibilities :

  • Develop designs, mechanical drawings and specifications, project schedules and budgets;
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary design team;
  • Provide mentorship to junior technical personnel;
  • Support project management requirements;
  • Provide construction supervision, conduct document and field reviews for assigned projects;
  • Support positive client interactions and business development activities including proposal preparation;
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to clients.

 

Key requirements:

  • Eng. registration in BC and/or AB;
  • BS or MS degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Intermediate / Senior engineer with 3 to 10 years of experience in building and industrial HVAC, plumbing & drainage, refrigeration, steam, hot water and fire protection system design;
  • Experience in process engineering (light industrial, food and beverage or pharmaceutical facilities) an asset;
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations;
  • Ability to travel to client sites in Canada and the USA;
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and food safety an asset;
