To support its growth, we are looking for an experienced Purchasing Director who will optimize procurement processes and build strong business relationships with suppliers.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for the company's procurement strategy. In this role, you will:
- Develop, implement, and evolve the purchasing strategy to support the company's growth
- Manage the purchasing team and ensure its professional development
- Negotiate agreements with national and international suppliers
- Ensure product availability while optimizing costs and inventory levels
- Implement performance indicators (KPIs) to improve processes
- Work closely with the sales, operations, and logistics teams
- Conduct market intelligence and identify new sourcing opportunities
What we are looking for
- 10 years of experience in a similar role, including at least 5 years in distribution (ideally)
- Training in management, logistics, supply chain, or a related field
- Strong negotiation and team management skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems and best practices in purchasing management
- Results-oriented, engaging leadership, excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluent in French and English (oral and written)
