Technical Sales Engineer - Municipal Infrastructure

As part of its continued expansion, it is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to strengthen its sales team based in Montreal.
Your role
Technical Business Development
- Establish and develop lasting relationships with municipal clients and engineering consulting firms
- Analyze the technical needs of infrastructure projects (water, sewers, roads, drainage)
- Prepare and present technical proposals tailored to tender specifications
- Negotiate contracts and ensure commercial follow-up until closing
Technical Support and Consulting
- Provide technical expertise to clients
- Collaborate with municipal engineers and external consultants
- Participate in Site meetings and provide post-sales technical support
- Conduct technology monitoring of industry innovations
Territory Management
- Manage a client portfolio in the Greater Montreal area and surrounding regions
- Develop strategic relationships with municipal decision-makers
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
Required Profile
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal infrastructure (design, project management, or consulting)
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Quebec municipal standards
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) - an asset
- Understanding of municipal tendering processes
- Knowledge of infrastructure materials and equipment
Personal Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Negotiation and business development skills
- Autonomy and ability to manage a large territory
- Bilingualism (French/English) - an asset
- Valid driver's license and availability to travel
