Senior Accountant CPA

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant (CPA) to join a growing Quebec-based company. You will play a key role in reviewing financial statements, evaluating internal processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and financial reviews in accordance with applicable standards
• Review financial statements, management reports, and other accounting documents to validate their accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Evaluate internal controls and accounting systems to identify risks and opportunities improvement
• Conduct compliance tests and regulatory audits
• Prepare detailed reports with recommendations to improve accounting and operational practices
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, as well as the preparation of financial statements
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and year-end closing procedures
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances
• Work closely with accounting and finance teams to resolve identified issues and develop improvement strategies
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting laws and regulations

Your Profile

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing
• 5 years of experience Relevant
• Excellent command of Canadian accounting standards
• Excellent analytical and financial data interpretation skills
• Autonomy and teamwork
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and rigorous approach
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
