Volts Énergies is looking for someone passionate about mechanics who is looking for a part-time job to do what they love. We are flexible on hours.

Our mission is focused on customer service and customer satisfaction. The work is not routine because we have new challenges and new projects every day. We are looking for an experienced generator technician/mechanic who is very resourceful to perform oil changes, maintenance, and diagnostics. We offer a great work environment. You will do rewarding work with new challenges every day. You will be trained by our expert technicians to work on Generac, Cummins, John Deere, Deutz, Hatz, White, GM, and Ford generators. We repair all brands. You'll be involved in everything from diesel and gasoline mechanics to propane/natural gas engines, generator electronics and electrical work, and various diagnostics.

The work is 80% on the road, and a vehicle will be provided. The mechanic will provide the tools for the job, and Volts Energies will provide specialized tools for generators.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time between 16 and 32 hours, depending on your schedule, job security
  • Day shift Monday to Friday
  • Work vehicle provided
  • Cell phone and tablet provided for work
  • Work shirts provided

*Work boots reimbursed after the first year, budget of $125/2 years

The work is mostly manual, but you must be comfortable using a computer to create your work schedules and the Office suite.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Punctual, have a good sense of initiative and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous, with excellent deductive skills and resourcefulness
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to attend training sessions and receive instructions in French and English
  • Ensure the smooth running of client activities and compliance with deadlines
  • Autonomy as you will often have to work alone
  • Languages spoken & Written: French and English

WORKING CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS:

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Number of hours per week: To be determined
  • Working hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Personal spending account: 2% of your annual salary provided by the employer, with no contribution required.
  • 6% vacation from the second year of employment (equivalent to your working hours)
