Mergui Avocats Inc. is seeking a dynamic and motivated junior lawyer with 1–2 years of experience in family law to join our team.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dedicated professional with excellent legal research, drafting, and courtroom advocacy skills.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in family law matters.
Conduct legal research and analyze applicable legislation and case law.
Draft court pleadings, affidavits, agreements, and various legal correspondence.
Prepare files for hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions.
Advise and guide clients throughout legal proceedings.
Manage case files, deadlines, and procedural requirements.
Requirements
Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
1–2 years of experience in family law.
Excellent command of both French and English, written and spoken.
Fluency in Turkish would be a significant asset.
Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail, independence, professionalism, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
