We are currently looking to fulfill a position as Production Supervisor for our Oakbank, Manitoba plant. Your goal will be to mobilize and motivate the employees you supervise and establish a culture of operational excellence. Berger is looking for an enthusiastic team player who demonstrates thoroughness and attention to detail and who wants to be part of a thriving company, working with other dynamic professionals


OVERVIEW OF THE WORK:
• As an expert in production management, you are responsible for coordinating and monitoring operations to ensure optimization of the production processes, considering the product criteria and talent requirements;
• You will be responsible for ensuring that the products that are made on the production line meet Berger’s high-quality standards;
• Demonstrate reliability through team leadership to fill orders in a timely manner;
• Evaluate the professional development needs of employees and ensure that they receive the appropriate training;
• Participate in creating a work environment that encourages feedback, independence and interaction within work teams;
• Complete reports as needed and ensure that established production ratios are followed;
• Ensure that the production team’s activities reflect the company’s values;
• You will be directly into the action of the plant because the position requires being present on the floor a good majority of time;
• Work closely and jointly with the corporate team to develop internal processes and practices.

CANDIDATE PROFILE :
• Hold a technical degree in industrial, mechanical engineering or operations management. Any combination of relevant training and experience will be considered;
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing environments;
• Being familiar with mechanical and industrial electronics, an asset;
• Demonstrate the ability to lead people and has strong leadership skills;
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork, problem-solving skills and analytical skills;
• Recognized for being a motivated problem solver;
• Open to occasional travel;
• Being proficient in French is an asset.
