Great news! For its NB sites, Berger is looking for a Human Resources Advisor to support the production and harvesting sites in New Brunswick! Without a doubt, there are some great challenges for you ahead in a company that focuses on the well-being of its employees.
JOB SUMMARY :
• Assist in recruitment and selection processes, including job descriptions, candidate screening, interview processes and orientation;
• Participate and assist in organizing recruitment events such as job fairs to find the best talents;
• Provide general HR support and advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations;
• Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and best practices;
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflicts;
• Advise and support managers in performance management, including appraisals, development plans, and corrective actions;
• Act as employee contact for all questions and suggestions relating to working conditions, policies, benefits, etc.;
• Participate and lead joint committee’s meetings;
• Assist in the execution of HR projects and initiatives, such as internal life events and employee engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS :
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field;
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources;
• You have experience in a unionized environment (an asset);
• You have experience in a manufacturing company with multiple production sites;
• You are dynamic, rigorous, discreet and you know how to manage your priorities;
• Problem-solving: Ability to assess situations and recommend solutions, particularly in conflict resolution and employee relations.
• You are open to traveling (10-15%);
• You master the Office suite;
• You have knowledge of written and spoken French (an asset).
